Lola: Are you familiar with the Survey of Undergraduate Research Experiencs (SURE) out of Ithaca College?
I am familiar with the SURE survey developed by Dr. Lopatto at Grinnell.
Do either of you have a source for this survey? I would like to use it in a project that I am undertaking.
A question - have you used any of the tools you presented within the standard curriculum of the science major to measure the undergraduate preparation in research? While summer programs are exciting, it may not be available for all undergraduates.
That makes me think of another question - what modes your research suggest that should do with the undergraduate curriculum to promote undergraduate research experiences as part of the normal experience?
When using the clickers in the classroom, what percentage of class meetings do you utilize your clicker-problem solving strategies? Do you utilize this strategy in a Learning Cycle? How is the lab experience incorporated into this strategy for instruction?
